B-day Bum(s) of the day

Frequently featuring @ sloshed-cricket is the Bday bum(s) of the day, in which we will talk about the cricketers who share their birthday and the fact they play cricket. So, Nov 11th the 1st issue of our B.B.O.T.D belongs to 3 cricketers who are surely from pre-historic era - Ben Hollioake, Lou Vincent and Robin Uthappa.

Ben Hollioake - Former England international, dint play much for the national side. Represented Surrey in the English county circuit. Brother of Adam Hollioake passed away in 2002 due to a car crash in Perth, Australia.

Robin Uthappa
- The lad from Bangalore, India who is only remembered for some crucial knocks during the inaugural T20 wc in South Africa that India went on to win, lost his place in the side due to lack of consistency and some fiery competition from the likes of Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma. Robin still in the scheme of things, scoring heavily in the domestic circuit and also for his IPL franchise the Royal Challengers of Bangalore. Not to forget he was playing for the Mumbai Indians not so long ago in the IPL. He was later swapped with Zaheer Khan who now plays for Mumbai Indians. The fact that recent performances of Suresh Raina are not very praise worthy and Rohit already sitting out, Robin is in with a chance to play for the national side.

Lou Vincent
- The most interesting of the three players today to me has to be Lou. Hailing from Warkwoth, Lou made century on his test debut for New Zealand. Soon he was a regular member in the Kiwi side. Stephen Fleming preferred batting at no.3 spot, which meant Vincent Opened the innings for the Kiwis. He was easily the best fielder in their team. Injuries though plagued his career and was in and out of the side. He later joined the ICL and played for the Chandigarh Lions under the captaincy of Chris Cairns, and despite parting ways with the ICL not made his way back into the national team. Lou has the highest individual score for New Zealand in an ODI of 172.
